Join the 2019 NCAA Final Four Volunteer Team


Hosting an event the size of the 2019 NCAA® Men’s Final Four® requires a deep lineup of dedicated, friendly volunteers. NCAA Final Four volunteers are the first and often most important touchpoint for visitors. While volunteers are not needed inside the game venue, they make sure off-court events run smoothly and help Minneapolis make a great impression on thousands of visitors.

The NCAA and Minneapolis Local Organizing Committee estimate a need for more than 2,000 volunteers to successfully host the 2019 NCAA Final Four and related events and programming. Volunteers must be able to commit to three (3), four-hour shifts between April 5-8, 2019.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 18 years old by March 1, 2019 to participate
  • Must be friendly, outgoing and dedicated
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt quickly to change
  • Must complete a minimum of three (3), four-hour shifts between April 5-8, 2019. Note: this time frame overlaps with some local school districts’ spring break.

NO INTERVIEW PROCESS REQUIRED

Being a Final Four volunteer will provide you an opportunity to showcase our great region to visitors from across the country, meet new people in the Twin Cities community and help deliver one of the largest sporting events in the country with excellence. Volunteers will help ensure ancillary events run smoothly and will provide the friendliness Minnesota is known for.

PLEASE NOTE:  We will not require any volunteer support inside U.S. Bank Stadium nor will tickets to the Semifinal or Championship games be given to volunteers.

How old do you have to be to volunteer?

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age by March 1, 2019. Volunteers who prefer to be courtesy car drivers must be at least 25 years old.


What are the volunteer roles, locations and dates?

We will have a variety of volunteer opportunities such as supporting NCAA ancillary events, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, skyways, information centers, volunteer headquarters and more. Responsibilities include welcoming fans, way-finding, being a source of information and representing the NCAA, MLOC and the region. Most shifts will take place between April 5-8, with some positions and shifts starting April 1. Note, this time frame overlaps with some local school districts’ spring break.

There are no volunteer opportunities inside U.S. Bank Stadium.


What do volunteers wear?

Each volunteer will receive an exclusive NCAA Final Four volunteer uniform kit.


Will parking and transportation be provided for volunteers?

Volunteers are responsible for their transportation and parking. If discounted transportation option(s) become available, the MLOC will notify volunteers.


Will lodging accommodations be provided for out-of-town volunteers?

Volunteers will be responsible for their own hotel accommodations.
